(by extension) The transport of goods over a short distance, particularly from a terminal such as an ocean port to another destination, usually as part of a longer transportation of the goods.
(countable, transport) The interval of time or distance between the fronts of two vehicles (e.g. buses) moving in succession in the same direction, especially along the same pre-determined route.
(industrial relations) Freight that belongs to a company against which a labor union is taking industrial action, and which unionized transport workers may therefore refuse to carry.
